अशिया नेट न्यूजच्या रिपोर्टनुसार,लॉकडाउनदरम्यान रानू मंडलचे काही फोटोज समोर आले आहेत. त्यात ती लोकांना दिलासा देताना दिसली होती. सोशल मीडियावर सर्वात आधी रानूचा परिचय करणाऱ्या अतींद्र चक्रवर्तीने सांगितले की, काही गरीब लोकांना रानू मंडलच्या घरी घेऊन गेली होती. रानूने असहाय्य लोकांसाठी गरजेचे सामानही विकत घेतले ज्यात तांदूळ, डाळ आणि अंड्याचा समावेश होता. पण लॉकडाउन एवढे मोठा चालेल याचा अंदाज नव्हता पण आता तिची परिस्थिती दयनीय झाली आहे.
